Delighted to share that all the planning conditions and obligations have been discharged for our work at Bessborough Road.
Our Tibbalds Campbell Reith JV team were initially appointed in 2017 as lead consultant to advise on, prepare and submit a planning application for ten new affordable homes on behalf of the London Borough of Wandsworth. The JV also assisted with various technical reports and project management.
The site at Bessborough Road was identified by the Council as having decanting potential within their larger strategy to rehouse existing council residents affected by the Regeneration Masterplan on the nearby Alton Estate.
Planning permission was granted in 2018, with work on-site starting soon after. Tibbalds Planning and Urban Design were subsequently instructed to assist with the discharge of planning conditions and Unilateral Undertaking planning obligation, in addition to providing planning advice to the contractor during the construction period.
The final planning obligation was discharged in 2022, with residents moving into their new homes the same year.
